NEW BEGGININGS

Michael and Alison spent several days in a hotel downtown untill they signed the papers and bought their first home. On arrival the the two of them climbed out the cab and admired their new home. The house itself was only small but it would do for the moment, besides there was enough room to expand later and still have a reasonably large garden. Outside was fairly featurless but the pond out the back would serve well with a patio and some flowers. Inside was cosy and quaint with old-style doors and window frames. It had the basics; a small kitchen/dining area, living room, bathroom and study and upstairs a master and spare bedroom. If they were to have more than one child they would have to add on but that could be arranged when they both got jobs. "So how do you like our new home my sweet?" said Michael. "It's perfect for the two of us" she said, "but when we have children it won't hold us all". "What do you mean by *when*? said Michael suggestively, and they clasped hands and ran upstairs. The next day the two of them searched for jobs in the paper and on the net, but sadly found nothing in their field. "We'll find one soon" Michael promised his wife as she began to worry about finances. "We have more than enough to keep us afloat for a while anyway, and there will be a slot soon I imagine" he said comfortingly. "I hope your right" said Alison. It was a few days later when a place became free at a local firm headed by a Mr. Vanderseux. As they had attended university they could aquire a place high up in the career ladder but the problem was there was only one slot. "You take it" said Alison to Michael, "I'll sort out the house while you are at work until I can find a place". "Are you sure?" asked Michael politely, he knew how much a career meant to her. "Positive" she said, "Something will come up." It was settled. Michael was great at work and over the weeks had earnt himself a golden reputation in the office. He had even been offered a promotion but had turned it down (ignored chance card) so that Alison would not feel left behind. She seemed so different lately and she had been eating alot, the last thing he wanted to do was make the situation worse. One night when he arrived home he was greeted by Alison spilling tears of happiness. "What has happened?" he asked bewildered. "IM PREGNANT!" and she hugged Michael tightly and he did so back. "So that's why you have been eating so much" he laughed and they kissed. "As there's a baby on the way we should start a proper family" he said, "lets get married!" and they hugged again. "I'll go and arrange a date" he said, pecking her cheek.

GRADUATION!

Michael and Alison both walked nervously through the huge door both wondering how well they had done. The results would be coming soon and both sims were dreading them. They knew that they had done well in college but they were still very anxious and full of anxiety. The two of them slept well after all the stress and spent as much time as possible together, finding each others company reassuring. Michael as usuall was on lookout for the flash of yellow and as soon as it came he woke Alison and they ran downstairs and ripped open the envelopes. Their faces became paralised when they read the results. "4.0 AGAIN!" they both screamed and hugged and kissed in celebration. "Congratualations Alison, I'm so proud of you" Michael said, which was answered with another kiss. "Time to throw a party!" said Michael enthusiasticaly. They rung everyone they knew and told them the news before inviting some college friends over for the bash. Michael could not believe that he was celebrating his graduation with the people he had met when he first entered university. It seemed like just yesterday they were pocking their heads round his door and know they were wishing him farewell. He had even become engaged to one of them. They celebrated with loud music and hugs and kisses and the party was a huge success. After the party the two of them gathered their belongings and said goodbye to college forever. They would miss it alot but it was time to move on. They climbed into the taxi, the very same that Michael had travelled in four whole years before and drove off down the tunnel of trees once more, to start a new life with the loves of their lives...

SENIOR YEAR

"4.0 AGAIN!" they both screamed as they recieved their test results. They hugged and kissed and then did some more celebrating upsatairs. Alison and Michael's relationship was still going strong and they could not wait untill graduation when they could afford to get married. Spending their life together was each others wildest dream and they wanted it to come true. "I can't believe that we will be out of here this time next year" said Michael to Alison. "It seems like only yesterday we first met and soon we will be graduating and getting married!" "You forgot the *and have children* bit" she said suggestively and they both smirked. "With our experience and track record passing should be a snap" said Michael proudly, "so there will be more time for *other things*" he said smiling at Alison. The house was nearly finished and it had been extended greatly to accomodate up to four or five people comfortably. They hoped to set up a family greek house for their future children and their childrens children and for every generation to come. As it was nearly the end of college for the two of them they decided they needed someone to look after the place when they had left rather than putting it up for sale so they invited a friend named Lila Gothier to take charge. After her graduation another person would be chosen untill children and grandchildren of Michael and Alison were there to take their place. Hopefully none of their decendants would have to go into the dorms like they did and would be able to go into comfortable housing strait away. But all of this was years ahead so Michael and Alison decided to take on what was happening right now, graduation. Time flew once more, like every other college year they had experienced and they could not believe it would soon be time to leave university and start work. Like usuall they worked to the limit and did their best to hep each other out. Neither of them slept a wink because of the sheer shock of what was happening. The clock ticked into place and they left in the direction of the exam hall. Michael and Alison kissed again before walking through the huge doors for the final time...

JUNIOR YEAR

"I PASSED!" Alison screamed to Michael as she burst in through the door her face beaming with pride. "Congratulations!" Michael said and gave her a kiss. "My results should be coming through tomorrow at the latest and then I can see how I did" said Michael. They were so excited for each other that they hardly slept. Alison finally dropped off in the early hours of the morning but Michael was awake right round untill the mail was delivered. As soon as the flash of yellow uniform went past the window, Michael had sprinted downstairs and was out the door. He ripped open the package and shouted "YES!" as he read his results. 4.0 again, the same as Alison. He raced back upstairs to tell her the news and then they decided to throw a party to celebrate. They invited everyone they knew and most came. The party was a hit and everyone had a fantastic time. Now it was time for some research if they were to do equally well next year. They read and looked up anything and everything to do with law and shared what they had learnt with each other. The money their results brought made improvements to the house less of a strain and it was all coming together and looking great. As final exams drew closer studying became even more intense, but with the amount of effort they had both put in it would be impossible for them not to do very well. Time sped up as they got closer to the tests and soon they would be off to take them. Michael and Alison both woke early in order to get there on time. They wished each other luck and set off into campus to take their exams. "Hopefully we will do just as well as last year" Michael thought to himself on the way. In the distance they could see hundreds of students all filing into the examination building and as they got closer a bell in the tower sounded indicating that it was almost time. Michael and Alison ran together holding hands as usuall and trotted up the steps and through the huge doors of the building. It was the end of Junior year and soon it would be time for graduation, but how would they do in their tests...?

SOPHOMORE YEAR

Michael and Alison's relationship was still going strong after a year together in University. They got closer and closer, each experiencing their first kisses and their first times and Michael could not think of anyone else in the whole wide sim world he would like to spend his life with more than her. He wanted her forever. He had bought an engagement ring for her quite a few weeks ago now and he was hoping to pop the question, when the time was right. He was so nervous, what if she said no? Eventually he built up the courage and took her out to dinner. He chose the most expensive restuarant in town and they sat down at a romantic table in the corner. They chatted and soon it was time for food. Time seemed to pass unbearably quickly for Michael and soon they had both finished their meal. He then asked her to dance and they took to the stage. After getting quite intimate, Michael knew the time was right. He knelt down on one knee and presented her with a smoothe box. He then lifted the lid gently and said " Alison, you have made me the happiest man in the world and I never want our time together to end". "Will you marry me?" he begged. "Of course" said Alison in tears of joy and they both hugged each other tightly. "She was all his" Michael thought to himself as he felt her warm back. They kissed for good measure and then made their way through the crowd that was gathering near by. Some were cheering, other clapping but one woman looked disgusted. "Mrs. Crumplebottom" Michael and Alison thought at once. They had heard many scary stories about her, how she likes to beat people with her handbag and how she screeches. They ran for it, leaving the old lady scowling and cursing them through the exit. Clasping hands they turned down a side road hoping to lose her and to each others delight they had. Then realising what had just happened they laughed and laughed, not just Mrs. Crumplebottom but how they were bond forever. Smiling all around they walked home holding hands and when they got back did a little more celebrating in Michael's dorm room. The rest of Sophomore year flew past and soon it was time for junior year. With the money they had Michael and Alison thought that it was time to get out of the dorms and into a place of their own. They chose a two up, two down home on the outskirts of campus, just the right size and price for them. With the spare cash they bought essentials as well as a few luxurys namely an expensive television set and a computer, both would be handy rebooting their fun after a long study period. They all worked hard and made it into Junior year where even more suprises awaited them...

UNIVERSITY LIFE

Michael was still gazing around the dorm several minutes later. It wasn't much but it was definately better than the orphanage. He waved to people on his way upstairs, his face beaming. His room should be around here somewhere... "aha" he said as he found a rugged and used door, the only one without a photo or name plate on. He reached into his pocket for his room key and placed it into the lock. He twisted it round and the door swung open revealing a bright, quaint looking dormitory with some basic furnishings; a single bed, a wardrobe and a desk together with a chair. "Finally a place to call my own" he said to himself, " it may not be much but it's mine!" Over the next few minutes he unpacked his meager belongings and spread them out neatly beside or on his desk. It was already coming together but he would need to pick up a few things from campus to finish it off. He was proudly admiring his work when suddenly he leapt out of his skin when three or four heads pocked around the doorway. "Hi" they said, " we all thought it would be nice welcome to the dorm and see how you are settling" said the brown-haired girl at the front of the group. This is Ben, James, Jessica and i'm Alison", "pleased to meet you" said Michael trying to sound friendly even though he'd never been so shocked in his life. "If you want anything come and find us, wer'e "and she pointed towards the other end of the hallway towards four doors. "Thanks" Michael said as they all turned around to say goodbye. "At least there are some friendly people around" he said to himself. "I especialy like Alison" and his mind wondered off into dreamland. He spent the next few weeks trying to decide what to do with his life. He was currently taking the undeclared courses but he knew he would have to make a desision soon. After much thought he settled on Law, it would be a help financialy plus he always found helping other people a rather pleasurable thing to do. Next day he registered his major in phycology (sp) so that he could understand better the simian mind. The classes were hectic and full of information, all of which he had to somehow memorise and write down. In class there were few people he knew but to his delight Alison was taking the same degree. As they knew each other they paired up and got to know each other better. Apparently Alison had only been in University a few days longer than he had so they both were newbies in the place. They found they mostly shared the same interests and after a few weeks of classes Michael finally built up the courage to ask her out to dinner in a fairly upmarket resturant downtown, the best he could afford. She said yes and it was the happiest feeling Michael had ever experienced. The dinner was a success and he was given her number and she said "call me" as she left the building. Michael did. They became very good friends as well as becoming more romantically involved with each other. Time flew by and soon the first year was up, "goodbye freshman hello sophomore" Michael said to himself.

UNIVERSITY

Michael could not sleep so he sat up on his bed and thought. He could not believe he'd be a young adult so soon and would be graduating and starting his new life outside the Orphanage. He was so overwhelmed by the idea that he did not notice it was already 8:30 until Karen Gast popped her head round the door and said " come on, grab some breakfast and get changed, the cab will be in a few minutes!" This brought Michael round to his senses. After dressing he sped downstairs to ram some cereal down his throat. At the last mouthfull there was an impatient beep from the taxi. Michael said his farewells and climbed into the cab where he waved until they turned a corner where his old life vanished...It was a long drive to Sim State which gave michael some time to reflect once more, but soon he was in unfamiliar territory and he began to read the sign posts. They drove through villages and towns and then through a bleak and deserted landscape. He wondered if he'd ever arrive when the car drove under a tunnel of trees. As they reached the end there was a blinding sunlight. After Michael's eyes became used to the light he saw he was in a sprawling campus. On either side of the road were student-filled dorms and small rented housing. The further they drove the more it built up until a huge building appeared on the horizon, the student centre. The cab slowed to a halt where he thanked and paid the driver. According to the student housing map, his dorm should be just opposite, and it was. A large three story red-brick building stood in front of him. In the windows he saw students pass and through the doors they left, sometimes running to class if they were late. It looked a busy and exciting place but Michael wondered when or if he'd ever get a place of his own. But for now it would do. He approached the double doors and swung them open wide. He stepped through and stared around the hall. He was in college!

THE ORPHANAGE

I've had some free time at the moment so i decided to get my legacy started up. If you would like information on starting a legacy please visit http://www.legacychallenge.com/ to get going. Now to start... NOTE: some of the content in this post is purely for setting and is not actually possible in-game. There will probably be no images for a while so you will just have to image how the Legacy members look :).

THE ORPHANAGE

Michael never knew his parents as he was brought up in an orphanage where he never really fitted in. His only real friend was a boy named Aaron De La Sangre but he was much older than him and by the time he reached his teens he was in Uni. Familys came and went but none seemed to want the poor reject Michael Legacy (creative or what, lol). One day he was called into the head careworkers office where Kendal Lawson told him to sit down and think about college as she had done to Aaron years before. "As you have not had the fortunality of getting a foster family as a child, I feel as you are older you should be off to University to get a degree"said kendal kindly. Michael thought it over in his mind, it would be great to get off to Uni and make friends, but in a way he wanted to stay behind, afterall the orphanage was the closest thing he'd ever had to a family. Sense told him to get out of here and get on with life, get a degree and maybe even start a family so he replied " Sure, when will I be going?" Kendal said he would be starting Uni next week if he wanted so Michael gathered all he would need for college: "Alarm clock...check. Notebook...check. Book bag...check, that's about it"he said to himself. Maybe he could pick some more stuff up on campus tomorrow, when he'd start his new life...
